© Provided by GamesRadar null We were expecting to see them from the start of the season after they appeared in the opening cinematic, but we had to wait a few weeks longer before Fortnite helicopters made their debut in the game. Officially known as Fortnite Choppas, these flying machines add a new mode of transport to the existing Fortnite motorboats, so we now have the option of vehicle travel by air or by water in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2. Being faster and not tied to waterways, Fortnite Choppas are not only the quickest way to get around the island, but you'll also need them for one of the Fortnite Meowscles' Mischief challenges as you deal damage to players while riding in a Choppa.
Unlike the motorboats, Fortnite helicopters don't have any weapons built in, though if your teammates are riding with you then they can fire their own arsenal from the sides. Fortnite Choppas do, however, have a boost for evasive manoeuvres (or to just get where you're going, faster) plus a loudspeaker you can activate to blast out Ride of the Valkyries and make all your Apocalypse Now dreams a Fortnite reality. Perhaps unsurprisingly, these are mainly found at the new Agency bases and Fortnite SHADOW safe houses, so watch out for those pesky Fortnite Henchmen and Agents if you're heading to grab one of the Fortnite Choppas from any of them.
