'Fortnite' Choppa Location Guide: Where to Find the New Helicopter

Fortnite's12.20 update introduced one of the most interesting recent additions to the battle royale: the Choppa. Following in the propeller swings of the bi-plane Stormwings, this helicopter allows players to fight in the air in ways that have never been possible. Here's what you need to know about the Choppa and how to locate one in your very own matches.

How to Use Fortnite Choppa

The Choppa can be used like any other vehicle, by jumping into the pilot seat and starting the engines. Once airborne, you'll be able to slowly maneuver your way through the sky, moving up or down in the air with the shoulder buttons or boosting with the circle button on PlayStation 4 and B button on Xbox. The Choppa itself is fairly loud on its own but you can also activate a loudspeaker, alerting people in your vicinity that there is a mechanically enhanced squad hovering overhead.

Four players can hang on the sides of the Choppa, shooting down enemies from a unprecedented heights. Once on the sides and in the air, you won't be able to jump off and parachute to safety. So if you want to get airborne, make sure you want to be in this helicopter for good. There is currently no good way to get down.

The Choppa, like other vehicles in the game, uses the wrap you have picked out in your locker.

Fortnite Helicopter Locations

There are eight helipads around the Fortnite map for players to find Choppas at. These spots should spawn a helicopter eventually but sometimes do unfortunately appear without the new item. The helicopter is also highly contested, with players diving directly onto the Choppa from the Battle Bus to try out the new item. If you manage to be the first to land and pick one up, congratulations! The hype should die down before the Choppa disappears, so don't be discouraged if you can't find one on your first run.

The Rig- On the right side of the newly changed floating platform, you'll find a pad.

Pleasant Park- The soccer field has now been transformed into an underground bunker where you may now find a Choppa.

The Shark- On the upper west side of the Shark base, you may find a helicopter bad chilling on the beach.

The Grotto- Float down to the pad at the center of the Grotto. Try to avoid landing in the water.

Mountain- On the right side of the mountain on the bottom left corner of the map, there will be a pad waiting for you.

The Agency- Sneak onto the coast of the Agency, and there is your prize.

Craggy Cliffs- To the left of Craggy Cliffs, you'll find a satellite tower and a pad.

The Yacht- Feel luxurious and take a multi-billionaire's helicopter for a spin.
