'Fortnite' Creative 6 Best Map Codes: Deathrun, Aim Training & More For December 2019

Fortnite Creative continues to evolve, which means we've got six new map codes to share for fans of Deathruns, Prop Hunt, Capture the Flag and more. And, because we're getting in the holiday spirit, a few of this month's selections have a festive flair. Let's get right to it.

1) Death Swim [1249-2466-0370]: Swimming is a brand-new feature introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2, and Death Swim by KAGUABIZ is one of the very first Creative Islands to make use of it. If you thought sliding past dozens of Spike Traps was difficult on land, try getting it done with floaty aquatic controls. This many not be the single hardest Deathrun we've seen, but it's definitely a unique and worthy challenge. This map has seven levels and suits up to eight players.

2) Training Island v5 [9243-7965-5788]: We've featured various edit and training courses in our monthly roundups before, but this is a fairly new entry from the prolific map creator, Teadoh. As far as aim training and skill sharpening goes, this is probably one of your best options. The Island features a central hub with portals for several challenges focused on shooting, edits and more. Kill Zombies quickly and build to light beacons to tune your reflexes.

3) Santa's Prop Hunt [0996-3494-7619]: Moving on to something more festive, there's Santa's Prop Hunt by niioko. True to its name, this is a wintry Prop Hunt map designed for four-14 players. While there isn't much that's mechanically unique about it, the environment is what sells it. Coazy up in snowy cabins and and sneak up on your friends. If traditional Prop Hunt has you a little bored these days, this winter variant should do the trick.

4) CTF-LavaGiant [5471-1770-1570]: CTF-LavaGiant is a beloved Unreal Tournament map, and it's been faithfully recreated in Fortnite thanks to BertBuilds. That being said, whether you've played Unreal before or not, the classic advantages of this 20-year-old arena still apply. The large central base design makes it simple to navigate, but its wide-open no man's land remains deadly. Especially if teammates have snipers, this can be a harrowing experience for everyone involved. This map proves that, despite modern advancements, simple designs tend to be the most effective.

5) Woodwork [4764-2077-3053]: This map by benz4ducks has been around for a little while, but that doesn't make it any less entertaining. Grab up to 16 players and your favorite Shotgun to fight your way through 10-minute rounds. The player who manages to get the most Eliminations while navigating this labyrinthine cabin emerges victorious. It hasn't been updated for Chapter 2 quite yet, but this is still one of the best free-for-all arenas we've tried.

6) Present Royale [6892-8967-8848]: A map that has been updated, however, is Present Royale by Echo. In this frosty smaller arena designed for eight players, combatants have the option to open presents or leverage Vending Machines to get their favorite weapons. Once the gathering phase has stopped, everyone has 10 minutes to get as many Eliminations as possible. The free-for-all concept hasn't been iterated on much lately, so it's cool to see this new Island emerge with a wintry aesthetic.

Fortnite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and mobile.
